Whip up this super smooth and healthy green dream in minutes! It’s creamy thanks to avocado, naturally sweet from banana, and packed with goodness you’ll barely taste. Perfect for a quick breakfast or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ ripe Avocado, pitted and scooped
  • ½ cup fresh Baby Spinach (washed)
  • 1 ripe Banana (fresh or frozen!)
  • ½ cup Milk (any kind works – dairy or plant-based!)
  • 2 tsp Honey (or maple syrup/agave)
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 6 Ice Cubes (use fewer if using frozen banana)

Instructions

  1. Liquid First: Pour the milk into your blender. This helps everything blend smoothly!
  2. Layer Up: Add the spinach, scooped avocado, and banana pieces.
  3. Flavor In: Drizzle in the honey and vanilla extract.
  4. Chill Out: Add the ice cubes.
  5. Blend Away! Secure the lid tight. Start on low speed for a few seconds, then crank it up to high. Blend for about 45-60 seconds, or until it’s completely smooth and creamy. No green bits!
  6. Taste & Pour: Quickly taste it. Need a bit more sweetness? Add a tiny bit more honey and give it a quick pulse. Pour into glasses and enjoy immediately!

Notes

  • Serving: This healthy avocado spinach smoothie is best enjoyed fresh! Pour into chilled glasses. Maybe top with a sprinkle of chia seeds or a banana slice.
  • Tips & Tricks:
    • Frozen Banana: For an extra thick and cold smoothie, use a frozen banana instead of fresh (use less ice if you do!).
    • Taste Test: Always taste before serving! Adjust sweetness (honey) or thickness (more milk/ice) if needed.
    • Order Matters: Putting liquid in first really helps prevent stuff from getting stuck!
  • Storage:
    • Fridge: Smoothies are best fresh as avocado can brown. If you must store leftovers, put them in an airtight jar, fill it to the top, and refrigerate for up to 24 hours. It will separate – shake it up really well before drinking.
    • Freezer: Don’t freeze the whole smoothie. Instead, pour leftovers into ice cube trays. Once frozen, pop the cubes into a bag. Add these flavor cubes to future smoothies!
